Jacque Johnson

President

Hello everyone! My name is Jacque Johnson and I grew up on my family’s ranch in central Nebraska. I started my college career out at Northeast Community College and upon receiving my associates degree, I transferred to UNL where I am currently a senior majoring in Ag Business. I joined Sigma Alpha with the hopes of finding a group of women who would push me to be my best self and create lasting friendships with. I am proud to say that I have definitely received those two things during my time in Sigma Alpha. My future plans include always being involved in agriculture and eventually having my own cow herd. The opportunities within Sigma Alpha are endless and I have grown immensely during my time as President and am so so thankful for the many opportunities that this organization has given me.

Alyssa Moser

1st Vice President

Hello! I'm Alyssa Moser, and I'm a junior agribusiness major with minors in the Nebraska Beef Industry Scholars and Engler Entrepreneurship programs. I grew up on my family's row crop and commercial cattle operation near Clearwater, NE, and knew UNL would be my future college when I attended my first Husker football game in elementary school--and I never looked back! Sigma Alpha has helped me cultivate friendships with women who are as passionate about agriculture as I am, and it's given me so many opportunities to step up as a leader. The women here push me to be my best self and support me no matter what! As the 1st Vice President, my goal is to ensure that every member feels safe and welcome in our sorority. I hope every one of our members feels like they are at home here!

Mikayla Martensen

2nd Vice President

Hey guys! My name is Mikayla Martensen and I am a junior agricultural education major. I am originally from Humphrey, Nebraska where I grew up on a row crop and cow calf operation. I attended Northwest Missouri State University as a freshman, and I decided to join Sigma Alpha because of the professional and agricultural aspects. When I transferred to UNL, Sigma Alpha helped me make friends and I felt like I belonged right away! As the new member educator I strive to make sure all new members feel welcome and are prepared to become the newest members of the Alpha Delta chapter!

Nicole Svanda

Secretary

Hello, my name is Nicole Svanda and I am from Ogallala, Nebraska. I am a junior studying agribusiness with a focus in management and minors in Engler entrepreneurship, agronomy, and business. I didn’t grow up on a farm but my passion for agriculture grew as years went on and as I went to visit my grandma on her farm. I joined Sigma Alpha to make connections and be apart of an amazing group of girls! Being apart of Sigma Alpha has been a huge blessing, I love meeting all the girls and getting close with them. I am so excited to be the Secretary of this sorority! I can’t wait to face all the new challenges that arise and to meet new ladies!

Jacy Hafer

Recruitment Chair

Hi, I’m Jacy Hafer, the Recruitment Chair for the Alpha Delta Chapter of Sigma Alpha! I am a senior Agricultural Leadership major with minors in Engler Agribusiness Entrepreneurship and Psychology. I grew up on my family’s ranch in the Sandhills of Nebraska and have been around agriculture my whole life. FFA was my favorite activity in high school and where I learned that I love advocating for the industry. I currently wish to work in rural development after graduation helping small communities like mine grow. Our chapter of amazing women has become a family for me on campus where we support and help each other become stronger more professional women. As the recruitment chair, it is my goal to help other women with a passion or interest in agriculture find their home on campus within Sigma Alpha!
